What can you do?

Plenty and the time to take action is NOW!

This is your community that will be affected. It is up to you to be heard.  Whether it is through talking and writing letters to your selectman, North American Training Lodge, the media, politicians, environmental groups, and community groups, your neighbors or legal action you can make a difference.

First Example:

It is very important that ALL Groton residents REGISTER TO VOTE! On Wednesday February 22, 2006, the Groton Planning Board unanimously passed Interim Land Use Regulations. These essentially protect all current land use activities, but require any newly proposed major commercial enterprises or developments to seek the Town of Groton's official approval through a public hearing process. Click here to see the Interim Ordinance.

Second Example:

Write a letter to North American Training Lodge.  They stated that they do not want to go into a community were they are not wanted.  Click here for a sample letter to send to them and tell them NO, THANK YOU.

Third Example:

Inform people about what is going on.  Click here for a flyer you can hand out, post somewhere, mail to someone.

Fourth Example:

Write or call your selectman and ask them to get involved.  You can included the letter from our law firm explaining the situation and it’s impact for the town of Groton and the surrounding communities. Click here for the letter

Fifth Example:

Complete the CCFRI survey or become a CCFRI member. Your ideas and input are important.
